About The House of YAD

The House of YAD was forced into existence in June 2001. The e-zine came about when another e-zine, Flayva Online, a Caribbean online magazine went under. As the webmaster/editor still needed to express his views and wanted others to share their views this outlet was born.

In an age when websites in general but onlime magazines in particular come and go, The House of YAD celebrated its third anniversay in June 2004. The webmaster/editor has done this with the help of writers who have become a YAD name such as Aston Cooke, Stephen Earley Jordan  II, Ryan Williams, and many contributing writers such as Tricia James, Courtney Reid, Lisa Petito, Phillipe Avice and many many others over the years.

The online magazine does not make money and is supported solely through the resources of the webmaster/editor. The writers are not paid. The work is done for pure pleasure.

Visitors to The House of YAD participate free of charge by joining a forum, MTU aka Mango Tree University, by chatting with oither visitors in YAD Chat, by signing up for a free e-mail account and checking their e-mail, placing personals, etc;

The next step for The House of YAD is go to a print edition and this has been the dream of the webmaster/edior. People and great ideas are in place and ready to go however the lack of funds have only delayed the dream.
