Short Bio

Born and raised in Jamaica, I attended Jamaica College and was valedictorian of the 1989 graduating class. While in sixth form at JC, I was chosen to represent Jamaica and Jamaica College in the American Field Service Intercultural Student Exchange Program which allowed me to live and study for one year in Quebec, Canada.

As a recipient of a Benjamin Franklin Society Award Scholarship, I left for The American University of Paris in January 1993. I graduated in May 1996 and currently hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs and International Economics.

During my stay in Paris I became involved in journalism. As editor of The Planet (the student newspaper of AUP), I reinvigorated the publication and increased its readership through a combination of controversial issues and eye-catching covers. I also worked as a copy editor for Scripta Politica et Economica (the journal of the International Affairs department of AUP) and as an online journalist at WorldMedia Network in Paris, France.

I am fluent in French and have a working knowledge of Spanish. I am currently a law student at New York Law School.
