Born and raised in Jamaica, West Indies, Dwight attended Jamaica College (high school) and was valedictorian of the 1989 graduating class. While in sixth form at JC, (Jamaica has the British system) he was chosen to represent Jamaica and Jamaica College in the American Field Service Intercultural Student Exchange Program which allowed him to live and study for one year in Quebec, Canada.

Later, as a recipient of a Benjamin Franklin Society Award Scholarship, Dwight attended The American University of Paris. He graduated in May 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs and International Economics.

After undergrad, Dwight had several job opportunities with sole proprietorships/small businesses (Celebrity Caterers, Community Marketing, etc;), an accounting firm -(Coopers & Lybrand), and an investment bank- (Deutsche Bank). However, Dwight has always been an entrpreneur at heart. No matter what he was doing, he always made the time for his own business, Day's Strategies & Concepts International (DSCI). Dwight left Deutsche Bank in 2000 in pursuit of one of his dreams- that of becoming an attorney. He graduated from New York Law School in June 2003 with a Juris Doctor degree.

His hunger for knowledge (or maybe his need for punishment) made Dwight return to the classroom where he is pursuing an LL.M. degree in taxation.

During his stay in Paris, Dwight became involved in journalism. As editor of The Planet (the student newspaper of AUP), he tried to reinvigorate the publication and increased its readership through a combination of controversial issues and eye-catching covers. He also worked as a copy editor for Scripta Politica et Economica (the journal of the International Affairs department of AUP) and as an online journalist at WorldMedia Network in Paris, France.

In 2002, Dwight took up the mantle again and became Co-Founding Editor and Editor-in-Chief of De Novo, the NYLS student newspaper.

Dwight's constant need to express himself and to share his point of view is the driving force behind The House of YAD which is now in its third year.

Dwight's first novel, "It's Not My Fault" has been delayed but he is still optimistic that it will be available soon.

He is fluent in French and has a working knowledge of Spanish.

Dwight is personable, conversational, straightforward, down to earth, fun and adventurous. He enjoys music, good food, fine wine, theatre, movies, travel, people and new experiences. He now enjoys the cosmopolitan environment of New York City and resides approximately 15 mins away. He has a holistic approach to life. He tries to live healthy, and although he does not work out six days a week, (more like 0 day/week), He eats and sleeps well and balances work and liesure. He might be controversial at times but he is open-minded and accepts no form of intolerance.

If you are interested Dwight is usually available in HOT CHAT after 7 p.m. daily. Visitors to the site can talk directly with him there.
