Massachussetts' Newest Spoken Word Artist

His name is Hassan. Although he was born in MA, USA, his ancestry is from Cape Verde, a country located just off the West Coast of Africa. As a poet and spoken word artist, he has enjoyed performing at open mics, talent shows, special events and universities including Brown, Harvard and MIT as well as being featured on over two dozen poetry sites. Hassan began work on his debut CD, Detour, last year. Detour is a compilation of Hassan's signature spoken word performance pieces with electronic music providing the lush musical background. This new young artist hopes to finsih Detour early this year. The work already in progress, is absoultely awesome with four tracks already done. I had the pleasure of listening to this young man's inspirational words and he took my breath away. There is no doubt that he is just going to be a huge success.
