What Do Eddie, John,
Whoopi and Robin All Have in Common?
Besides being among
the most brilliant comedians of our time, these four clowns all wind down at Trident Castle in Jamaica.

Erected 15 years ago, Trident Castle is located on Peg's Point just east of Jamaica's Port
Antonio. This grandiose grey stone is, herself a rising star. Even before completion, this
Castle was cast in a role for a Twentieth Century Fox action movie starring William Conrad
and Eddie Albert. The movie spawned the legend that surrounds Trident Castle as an indestructible property. The film's script called
for the structure to be seemingly hit by a hurricane with forty-foot tidal waves, to be
blown up in front of hundreds of witnesses and to be struck by lightning. Hollywood magic
left Trident as beautiful as you see it today but the rumors resulting from the production
allowed for mystery to accentuate its charm.

The beauty of Trident Castle was commissioned from Italian sculptor Georgio Ferrari.
Its design is a reflection of Jamaica's history and the enchanting natural beauty distinct
to the island.
The main hall is a tribute to Jamaica's British influence. Modeled after Clandon Park, its
epic 47-foot ceiling and black-and-white checkerboard floor is lit by wrought-iron
torches.
The walls and ceilings of the main dinning room are embellished with white plaster friezes
of birds, fruits and flowers native to Jamaica. The room is centered by a huge mahogany
dining table and an enormous crystal chandelier, the definition of Jamaica's traditional
interior design.
This is merely a peek at the beauty and mystery of Trident Castle. The true regal grandeur that attracted Eddie, John,
Whoopi and Robin can only be understood through our picture gallery.
