Kidd Receives $10,000 Fine

New York, NY, Dec 5, 2003 (The Sports Network via COMTEX) -- New Jersey Nets point guard Jason Kidd received a $10,000 fine from the league Friday for verbally abusing and publicly criticizing game officials.

The incidents took place at the conclusion of Wednesday's home loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.

In 17 games this season, Kidd has averaged 16.6 points, 9.1 assists and 6.4 rebounds per contest.
